| RYOLEX® perlite is used in a variety of cleaners, polishes and soaps due to its slightly abrasive properties and the economies provided when perlite is used as a filler. Abrasive bodies such as grinding wheels, discs, rubs and similar articles have been manufactured with perlite bonded with low temperature binders. The porosity, resistance to disintegration and lightweight of perlite allows for cooler and safer abrasion. Its light weight minimizes centrifugal forces tending to rupture high-speed grinding wheels. |
